Warning.. Another epic post ...

With lots of pictures..rofl.. I can't help myself.. I loove pics.. lol Anyway escape now if you can..rofl.

Last Thursday the Fire Brigade came to Playgroup.. and we had a big surprise because Win News decided to cover it.. and Unfortunately wanted an interview with me.. not good.. only 10 secs.. but as I told my friends.. I have a head for radio and a voice for silent movies..pmsl.. I wish I could upload it for you all to laugh at and see the kids but I can't figure out how to do it.. Any ideas please let me know.. We are getting a bit famous at PG.. The week before the local news took pics.. last week the local tv what's next..??

But kids are soo funny.. I told Declan that morning that we might be on TV.. and asked if he would like that... 'No' was the answer I got.. 'but why wouldn't you like to be on tv?' I asked.. 'because I want to come out of it Mummy.. I don't want to stay in the TV'. I had to reassure him that it was only going to be his picture on the tv and not him.. he was happy then.. lmao.. You wonder how their minds work hey.

Anyway to the pics. The fireman gave the kids a little talk upstairs and showed them a few safety things etc.. then we went downstairs to see the truck.. of course.. this was the highlight for the kids.. they loved looking over it but you shoulda seen their faces when they were told they could hold the hose.. Now the Fireman kept joking about how the kids could wet the Parents.. yeah right.. well I went to the front side of them to take pics.. when the hose was first turned on this is what I saw.....................


Yep.. Brodie and I got soaked.. and everyone just about fell over laughing.. the fireman assures me that the last person who used the hose hadn't turned it off spray to stream.. somehow.. I am not sure I believe him!! lol

I gave my camera to Rachel to take pics while I had my 'interview'. And she took this pic of me and the boys.. and I actually don't mind it..

I asked Declan and Ebony to stand next to each other and this is what I got.. aren't they cute!!!

On Friday the girls came over for morning tea as usual.. The kids had a ball on the trampoline..

Nicholas and Brodie had the best fun.. jumping around together.

And they started wrestling.. Nicholas who is normally so quiet around other people gave Brodie a run for his money..pmsl.. I got the cutest photos!

but if anyone got hurt.. I just said.. 'kiss and cuddle..make it better' and this is what they did..and the tears magically stopped..

When Brodie had a dirty nappy he refused to come off the trampoline so I decided that the easiest thing to do was climb up there and change him.. Of course Amanda grabbed the camera and got some lovely photos of me climbing up. which I won't inflict on you..pmsl..

But of course Brodie had to have a wrastle... and Amanda got pics of that to.. I have cropped some of the not so pretty bits out but I love this pic of Me and Brodie..

When they wore themselves out the played nicely on the grass.. How cute are they!!

On Sunday Connor had football and the boys played really well.. they are starting to really play like a team and actually running with the ball.. I was helping in canteen but I managed to see Connor have the longest run with the ball I have seen him do yet.. It was mainly across the field and he didn't make much ground..lol.. but at least he was having a really good go..and our team actually won.. Not that they keep score.. Next week is the final game of the season.. No more 7am Sunday mornings.. yeah..am I a bad Mother..lol.

After we got home on Sunday Zoe and the kids came over for a visit.. and the kids were out helping Greg build the last section of the fence.. He had gone to the shed and Brodie and Ella decided they need to find him.. and this is what we saw when we checked on them.

they held hands all the way down.. all the way back.. until Ella saw her Mum.. then she decided Mummy was more important..

But Brodie had to help her anyway.. what a little gentleman!!

Well If you made it this far you've done well.. or your just used to me..rofl.. We have Declan's birthday this Friday.. so it is going to be another busy week.. lots of cooking etc.. for his party on Sat.. and Mum and Col are coming up on Friday and staying until Wednesday.. Of course they will be playing golf next week..

More Layouts...

Woohoo.. I have done some scrappin.. OK.. here are the two layouts I did at the magnificent Nicole's Class at Scrap'n scrap on Saturday.. It was great fun..

These are the photos taken by the photographer that comes around to the hospital.. Declan would not stop screaming so he let us go to his studio and get the whole family done.. The pictures just matched Nic's gorgeous lo so beautifully .. I just had to change a few bits to fit them all in.. I love it..

This is the single lo we did.. The photos are from when we brought Declan home from hospital.. Another gorgeous lo from Nic.. Simple but effective!

At the class Nicole dared me to scrap my to do list for the week.. As Sheree's WC on the Boxx was for a non person photo.. I was inspired.. Used up some scraps and things I have had sitting there for ages.. and fr the first time ever I really doodled.. and doodled and doodled.. lmao.. Well I figured I had nothing else to do.. rofl.. which is my fav saying at the moment whenever someone suggest I do something or asks me to do something..lol.. Like Nicole suggesting I scrap my to do list..! But I am really happy with the result.. Sheree took the easy way out this week and has put the lo's up for vote.. so we don't find out who wins until Monday.. not that I think I have a chance..the other lo's are just soo gorgeous.. They are such a talented bunch on there..

And this month's BOY from Sheree was 'Style'. Well I don't think I have any..pmsl.. so I did it on Greg instead.. who given a chance would go only buy check shirts, RM's etc.. Well he may not be quite that bad.. but nearly.. lol Used DG's Rip and Stitch and pick Technique. Considering I managed to get two lo's done in one afternoon/night I am really happy with them..

And woohoo.. I am now officially 2 lo's ahead of my 1/week goal..mind you.. I may not be doing much in the next week or so..Oh well. I am happy just to be getting some scrapping done..

A quieter week ..sort of..lol

Ok Heaps of pics this week.. Can't help myself loove taking pics.. and surrounded by so many cute kids..lol.. Mentioned briefly that Connor went to a birthday party last fortnight.. well was looking through the photos and thought I would put these up...

Then we had another birthday party the following weekend at the PCYC Bike park..

Brodie loved checking out Declan's bike .. but wasn't quite game to ride it..

Connor and Declan had a great time.. and Greg took Poppy half way to Mackay to meet my brother Shane so he could take Poppy the rest of the way.. Of course Brodie had to go with them.. He does not like to let Daddy out of his sight after his week away.. and all I hear all day is 'Daddy.. Home.' But they stopped in when they got back.. and Brodie got to have some cake.. the important bit for a 2 yr old.. lol

So many birthdays.. and of course we are coming into our Birthday months.. I have finally started getting organised for the boys parties.. Found the most fantastic website online..

You soo need to check it out if you need anything for a party.. adult or child.. Now I just gotta wait for my goodies to arrive.. soo love not having to run around town just to get frustrated..lo..

Been fairly busy with Playgroup stuff.. as usual.. had the local paper send a photographer last week.. so we will see how many photos get into the paper.. luckily they were all of the kids. And got a call today to say that the local win news team may come tomorrow as we have the fire brigade coming for a visit.. hmm.. wonder where I can hide..lol.. Haven't been able to warn my Mum's so lets hope none of them get cranky with me cause they didn't put their makeup on..lol..

Last weekend we also had Cees, Sandra and the boys over for dinner.. It was a bit sad because they are heading off on hols and then back to the Netherlands in Oct.. So of course I had to get a family pic..lol.. the boys weren't too cooperative.. but Mum and Dad had fun..lol.

It really was a good night.. We will miss them!

Oh and one last kiddie pic..lol.. little Sam.. what a smile.. and for family.. yep that is our old rocker.. We have passed it on to Sam..so of course I had to get heaps of pics.. Al three my boys have had similar pics in it..lol..

Ok nearly finished.. actually did some scrappin today.. first time in a fortnight.. I made a card for one of my Playgroup Mum's whose B'day it is tomorrow.. got this cool idea from the wonderful Missy P (Tam) off the Boxx.. so quick and easy but so effective.. well I like it..lol

And finally used the spray painted transparencies for DG's TC on the Boxx. not sure I love the lo.. but the transparencies came out really cool..

OK.. enough for now.. had quite a few late nights.. so I am going to try and be asleep by midnight..lol.. Got heaps coming up.. Connor's got a disco tomorrow night.. another class with the lovely Nic on Sat.. Declan's b'day to prepare for.. Oh well.. at least I am never bored..lol..

Well Here 'tis..

I know I have been very slack.. I have been asked a few time when I am going to update.. and here I am finally getting it done.. mind you its only been a couple of weeks.. I don't get it.. out life is pretty dull..but I have got some cute pics..lol..

Like this one of Brodie.. wiht his friends.. Alphie - the sheet, Spidie.. the purple spider.. and Gi ga the Tiger he got a Dreamworld.. This is how he likes to watch tv.. If he's not on someone's lap.. he gets his toys and his fold out couch.. and gets comfy.. Oh and don't forget we gotta get our pillow too!! lol.. too cute..

And of course Declan too has his little friends.. Binkie - The blanket, Hippo, and Thomas the Tiger from Dreamworld.. as you can tell they are both Tommy Tum tuckers.. as we call em.. really don't know how I am going to get that thumb out of Declan's mouth.. mind you he is getting better.. Tending to use it more now when he is tired or upset.

Brodie loves to help out.. here he is bringing the Bread in from the car.. it got a little squashed..but he got it there..rofl He now helps unstack the dishwasher.. puts things in the rubbish and puts things away.. Gets a little pedantic sometimes too.. don't know where he gets that from..lol.

Sat night a fortnight ago we decided to have a little get together with some of the usual mischief makers.. lol.. It was a great night.. as usual.. Everyone brought a dish of yummy food.. Mind you Adrian brought some curry that made me step back just opening the lid.. Did not enjoy the effects of that on Greg I can tell you!! lol. Greg also got very adventurous and dug out our camp oven.. Did some rather spicy sausages in the ground.. Luckily there was edible food around that didn't burn your tongue off for me and the kids..lol.. Anyway here are some of the pics I took..

My gorgeous little man Sam.. He is such a cutie.. and he always goes to sleep for me..lol. pity he wasn't always so nice to his poor Mummy!!

Brodie and Nicholas are really starting to play with each other.. After a little discussion about sharing the ball they had a great time throwing it to each other.. We have noticed even at Playgroup that after most people are gone and it starts to quieten down they can often be found copying each other, spinning around, jumping, waving .. that sort of thing.. It is just too cute!

And here is Amanda's beautiful bump.. She hasn't taken any pics for a while so of course I had to make her come inside and pose.. I mean you gotta get pics when you are gorgeously glowing don't ya!!

Now don't try this at home kids but Adrian decided to try riding Connor's Scooter down the slippery slide.. anyway he came to a spectacular end at the bottom.. and the poor scooter is now minus one brake..lol.. luckily Connor doesn't go fast enough to need one.. There's always one isn't there.. If we didn't luv him we'd probably smack him..rofl.

Luckily this is where the kids were while the stunt man was at work.. So they didn't get any ideas.. thankfully.. Poor Kyle was so tired he crashed within minutes.. How he managed to sleep with the noise going on is beyond me..lol..

And I couldn't resist showing off this pic.. Aren't they cute.. Bonnie and Nicholas having a cuddle!!

Ok so what else has been happening.. Well I have been flat out as usual with Playgroup and the boys.. and Greg was away for most of that week.. which always makes life that little more difficult. Luckily he was home all this week. The boys do miss him. We have nearly cracked 50 families in our playgroup.. So there is always something to do.. But we have rearranged a few things so that now some of the Mum's are helping .. I am learning to delegate.. aren't I good. Anyway I think it is great that everyone is getting so involved. We have just had our 5th new baby I think.. and they've all been boys.. we now have Mum's due every month right up until about Feb next year.. Hopefully we'll get some girls in there too.. But I am getting queries nearly every week.. and most of them keep coming back .. so hopefully we must be doing something right!

As Declan is now home more he and Brodie have started to go down to collect the mail together when we get home from swimming and Playgroup.. They are soo cute.. holding hands and sharing the mail to bring back.. This pic was taken after playgroup.. Brodie' pants were too dirty to put back on him and I think it is such a cute look..rofl..

Poppy has been here for a couple of weeks as well.. Supposedly resting after being in Hospital for a week with his Diabetes.. but he has managed to dig the garden and plant a heap of vegies for us.. as well as cooking every day.. You just can't tell him!

The girls are loving his cooking though.. I have been having a few friends over on a Friday Morning for a coffee and a chat. A chance to catch up when it is not as hectic as it is at playgroup.. The kids play and we have a good old natter.. Gonna miss Poppy's Pikelets next week though.. they might expect me to make em some...lol. My one morning of the week I don't have to go anywhere.. or rush around and do anything.. love it. Poppy won a couple of hearts too..

The boys have loved having Poppy down.. We have to keep reminding them to be a little careful with him.. but Brodie loves lying all over him.. and of course the others could never resist a play.. He heads back tomorrow .. It will certainly be quiet around here.. The boys are really going to miss him.. Declan has even crawled into bed with him a couple of times.. Seeing as Daddy is home and he's not allowed to sleep with Mummy..lol.. Poor thing.. whether it is an afternoon nap or night time sleep he loves ot hold someones hand.. Yep even with Poppy.. he rolled over and grabbed his hand and went straight back to sleep.. too cute..

Greg and Poppy took the two big boys fishing this morning.. Connor is soo proud he caught the only fish they could keep.. for bait..lol.. Poppy caught something little that had to get thrown back.. so of course Mummy had to take a pic..lol.. Unfortunately Poppy has been trying to catch Yabbies with the boys at various places for the last two weeks without success.. but they've had fun trying.

Cherie has now joined Tanya and I on a Wed morning to do a bit of destressing and creating.. here we are with our spray paint playing with DG's Technique challenge off the Boxx.. The lawn is a pretty colour now..pmsl..

Well you wanted an update.. so you got one.. told you it's been a busy couple of weeks.. all this throw in couple of fluey kids and a sick Mum.. Poppy, Birthday parties, football, Greg being away.. Ok I know I haven't uploaded for a while.. been a little hectic round here.. so I have decided I am going to do my scrappin tonight and hopefully will bombard you with heaps of piccies from the last couple of weeks over the weekend..
This is Ali's Sketch Challenge for this month.. I did it on the silly little song I made up for the boys.. Started when Connor was little and has evolved to what it is now.. anyway.. I tried out the gorgeous DG's technique of using Felt over chipboard.. so I painted the heart and heart with wings gold and then covered them with Dimensional magic.. and put the felt on top.. I love the way it came out..also cracked the dimensional magic by gently bending the wings as well to give it a little more texture.. Also painted the title and used some rub-ons I had over the top.. Oh and the buttons I have had in my cupboard forever.. see I do keep junk for a reason! lol


This was last weeks Challenge by the beautiful Mardi.. You had to use chipboard (cute) a vertical title (Murphy) and rub ons.. (the little white swirls on the pics.) Had great fun doing this one..

OK this is the photo swap I did ... These are pics of one of the girls off the Boxx's gorgeous Daughter.. She sent me 4 stunning pics and I didn't want them competing with each other so I did a double lo.. with two pics on transparency.. and then mad eit so they flipped out and the other two were underneath.. Used some of my swirls I beaded and and painted the title with Nail polish.. Knew I had pink there for a reason..lol..I think it all came together nicely and my partner said she was happy with it.. which is the main thing..

And this is the gorgeous layout she did for me in return.. of our trip on the Spring Bluff train ride during the Toowoomba Flower Festival.. I just love what she has done with it.. and that train is just tooo cute!
