The Boys trip to Dalby..

Well on the June Long weekend Greg took the boys to Marnie and Pa's in Dalby.. and I had the fun job of staying home and cleaning the house..lol.. But at least I finally got the pantry, bathroom cupboard and linen cupboard cleared out..lol
Swearing at Dad the whole time I did the pantry... thanking him for all the junk he has put in there over the years.. and I know he was up there saying.. 'Don't chuck it out.. it is only 4 years out of date..it's still fine.!!' pmsl.
The girls also came over for a girls night on the Sunday night.. Had an absolute ball.. Tanya brought Lasagna and Salad.. Annette a beautiful dessert and Amanda some nibbles.. we were stuffed by the end of it all.. and sore from laughing.. thanks girls.. I really needed it..
Anyway.. Greg got to Dalby and Pa had fixed the Nifty 50 he and his brothers used to ride.. the boys thought it was fantastic!
Connor was a little unsure about riding it on his own so Pa put training wheels on it.. that was all he needed to get his confidence up.. He rode around on it then without the training wheels touching the ground..lol..
Declan and Brodie had great fun riding around with Pa and Greg..lol.. Not sure what is funnier..the kids or the sight of 2 grown men on a nifty 50..lmao.
Anyway the pics aren't the greatest but here they are having a ball..

Well at least i have caught up with some of my blogging..lol.. will catch up some more soon.. I will get up to date.. I promise..pmsl.. Hope you are all well..

More from May

We actually mananged to get tickets to the Wiggles when they came to town.. Zoe and I took Brodie and Ella..

They were so excited about going.. Brodie had to wear his Captain Feathersword Outfit.

He was so excited waiting for it to start....

but when they actually came on he sat there like a stunned mullet for over half the show..lol.. He was in awe. He had just started getting into it when some kid jumped up in the seat in front of us and roared at him in a really aggressive way.. Scared the hell out of Brodes.. I was so cranky.. Especially as the mother did nothing. Took me ages to get him back in the mood again..

Unfortunately this is the best pics I could get.. The zoom on my Camera wasn't working.. but I have to say the Wiggles were really good.. Even had all the Mums and Dads laughing. ANd Anthony is extremely fit for his age..lol..

It was a lovely morning with the kids except for the fact that I ended up with a speeding ticket on the way home..lol.. And this time I honestly wasn't doing it on purpose..lol.. Oh well.. payback for the times I haven't been caught I suppose.

On the 21 st of May we had a visit at playgroup from a lady that rescues Native Animals.

Isn't he gorgeous.. only 7 mths old. Such a little cutie.. A baby Hairy Nosed Wombat.

Of course Declan wanted a pet wombat after this.

And the bigger one was just as cute.. Wandered around and let the kids pat her without a problem..

They also brought along some snakes and Lizards.. Ella got up close and personal without any problems..
The kids absolutely loved it..
Well that's the rest that I can think of. We had trips to Mackay to see Dad and the usual running around here..
I am sure there was more I wanted to put up but at the moment I just can't think.. It has been a loong month..
I'm off to bed now I think.. catch you all soon..

Mother's Day

Well I guess I should update everything else on my blog that I have missed.. It has been a while..
For Mother's Day Declan's Kindy put on a lovely afternoon Tea on the Wed.

We had a lovely time.. got to listen to stories and sing songs with the kids. Led by his lovely Teacher and her assistant.. they really do a wonderful job with the kids.

After group time we sat down at our tables where we found these gorgeous flowers and place mats made for us by the kids..

In the heart Declan wrote

"I love my Mum because...

She turns 'Thunderstruck' on when I want to listen to it. She pushes me on the swing, at them park, and when I want to go Dreamworld, she takes me to the big pool and I like to dive in. I want to give you a cuddle and kiss... xx"

How cute is that.

They also made us the most gorgeous little pillows..

I just love it..
Brodie made me this gorgeous card and painting at Daycare.

And I got these gorgeous pressies from Connor that he made at school.

The week after Mother's Day they dedicated the the Friday Liturgy to Mother's. And Connor's class organised it.. They had signs saying thank you, some gorgeous clips of the kids saying what they loved about their Mum and readings. They also did some beautiful songs with actions as well. I was so glad I went.. It was such a wonderful morning.

Well as you can see I was quite spoilt for Mother's Day.. Unfortunately my Mother wasn't so lucky.. I still have her Mother's Day/ Birthday (4/2) Pressie sitting on my desk half finished.. Sorry Mum I will get there..lol.. But I can now show you what I made for my Mother-in-Law. I used Sheree's Mini - album kit/class to do up this album for Nancy.. I do hope she likes it.

Well I think that will do for tonight.. still got more stuff to update for May but I am tired it is late and I have heaps to do tomorrow.. Hope you are all well..

Goodbye Dad

As you may know my Dad, Neil Edwards, has been battling Cancer for about 5 years now. Well unfortunately on the 28th May He finally lost the battle..

We will always love you Dad.. and may you now be at peace with all your friends and family that have gone before you. We will miss you..

One of Dad's many wonderful friends has set up a Memorial Group on Facebook. It is fantastic to see just how many people he touched in his life.

And a quick note to say a huge thank you to all my gorgeous friends IRL and online that have given me so much love and support over the last few weeks. You have no idea how much it meant to me.

And Mum, thank you for being there. You, as always, were there when I really needed you.. I don't say it anywhere near enough. I love you Mum.
