Lot's of fun!

Last Friday the 10th.. Joe Zoe and the kids came over for Pizza and Movie night.. which ended up with a sleepover..lol.. Lucky we got heaps of beds..pmsl.. We had a great night.. especially after the kids went to bed.. playing cards and having few drinks.. it has been soo long since we have played cards. And the kids had a ball too.. The boys were dressing up so of course Ella wanted to have a go..

And of course get the camera out.. and out comes Declan's silly faces..

And he and Jamie decided that they had to have photos of them doing acrobatics..lol..

Meanwhile Connor and Lachlan locked themselves in his room making the Biotechnic Lego thingies he got for his b'day. We had a great night..

I have to show you the Lego Dinosaur Connor made.. We gave him the kit for his B'day and he made this all by himself.. He was so proud.

As usual the following Friday Zoe and the kids came over. Well for some reason Brodie has decided that Friday is a clothes optional day..lol. I don't know why.. we have no probs keeping clothes on him any other day..but for some reason on Friday's as soon as I dress him.. off it all comes.. nappy and all..

What a charmer.. Ella and Brodie love feeding each other.. but really.. he shoulda put some clothes on..lol..

Brodie just loves Ella so much.. When Zoe was leaving by the time she and I got out to the car Brodie had set himself up in Lachlan's seat. And he was not moving.. After trying to convince him to stay home Zoe and I decided to see what he would do if she took off with him.. Well I pretended to strap him in.. and he started waving.. 'bye bye mummy'.. 'cya tomorrow'.. pmsl.. So Zoe backed down the driveway asking him if he was sure he didn't want to stay at home.. he just continued waving to me and said a definite 'NO!'..lol.. cheeky buggar.. So eventually I had to pull him out and he was so upset... calling for Ella.. he only settled down when I told him he would see her tomorrow.. sigh.. Only 2 and already in love..pmsl..

That night we decided to set up Brodie's new bed.

He had lots of fun helping Daddy to put it together..

Well we are sooo proud of our little boy.. He looked a little scared last night and wanted Mummy to stay with him.. So I told him Daddy would sit with him for a minute until I did something.. by the time I got back.. Daddy was out .. he was awake but in bed and then he just fell asleep on his own.. didn't get up once!. Was a little upset in the morning cause Daddy had shut his door and he couldn't get out. So we make sure that doesn't happen again.

And can you believe he has had 2 afternoon naps in there too.. without us having to stay with him..

Last night Joe, Zoe and the kids were over again.. Zoe was helping me with the party stuff.. and he did get out of bed a couple of times.. but we just told him to go back to bed and he did.. eventually going to sleep on his own.. He is a good little boy.. sometimes..lol..

Connor's Birthday Party - Sunday 5th

Well Connor turns 6 on the 8th and this year he wanted a Pirate Party. Luckily Tanya had stayed Sat night.. though I am not too sure so thought so in the morning.. The party wasn't until the afternoon so we thought we had plenty of time.. well we did until Declan woke up with NITS!! again.. I soo couldn't believe it.. So we got organised and started to do everyone's head.. just to be sure.. so yep.. six kids and two mummy's had to have that stuff that, in Connor's words, smells like poo in their hair.. Now that is a feat.. Tanya's 16 year old daughter was soooo not impressed.. she had been cuddling Declan in front of the tv the night before..pmsl.. Well if that wasn't enough.. next minute Greg is calling out.. SNAKE!!.. yep while we had been away a 4 ft Brown snake had taken up residence underneath the path around the house!!..

I always knew this place was a zoo but OMG.. this is ridiculous!! Believe me this pic was taken from a distance!

Well we finally got everyone settled down with shower caps on and had to try and catch up on all the things I hadn't done for the party.. like ice the cake..pmsl..But of course we had to get some pics first..lmao.. I am soo mean.. Somehow missed Connor though.. buggar!

I think he actually enjoyed the nit comb.. especially as all week when I checked their hair he insisted I sit there for half an hour combing with it..lol.. funny kid!

Well we finally got everything organised and it was time to Party.. unfortunately some people didn't bother to turn up.. or ring so I could invite others.. which was a real shame cause I had only let Connor invite about 5 of his mates.. Luckily with all the siblings though he still had lots of fun. Of course we had to dress up!

All in all it ended up being a great day.. despite the start..lol.. Connor had fun and was very impressed with his presents.. of course..

Saturday Oct 4th

On Sat morning we had to get up and get organised.. Off to Nicholas's 2nd Birthday Party.

The kids had a great time playing at the park.. and of course.. there was......


Cake! Most of which Brodie wore as usual..pmsl.

And Bonnie was getting into it too!!

Little Sam managed to get a great little sleep in.

And when Patrick wasn't being passed around.. he had a great sleep too.. Aren't they both soo cute!!

I even managed to get a nice photo of Declan.. without his usual face pulling..lol..

Then we had to head off to Jamie's 4th Birthday party.. at a different Park of course.. I so gotta get my friends in sync!! lol..

The kids played heaps of games and Jamie got given one of those pump rockets for his birthday. It was a huge hit amongst the kids..

Connor of course wanted one too!!

Joe was doing a pretty good job of catching the rocket.. Not sure hat Lachlan was doing though..lol..

We finally got home after 2 and then later that afternoon Tanya, Courtney, Michael and Talissa came over for a sleepover. I told Connor if he had just a small party then he could have Michael over. Of course it was a good excuse for Tanya and I to get some Scrappin in too..

Brodie was soo tired that when Greg had to change a dirty nappy later hat night.. he didn't even wake up!

The boys were pretty exhausted!!

But Talissa found a little friend in Murphy to keep her occupied.. as she was the last to go to sleep..

Tanya and I did some cooking etc for Connor's party.. as I hadn't done a thing.. and stayed up until 2 am scrappin.. it was great!!..

Holiday at Dingo Beach

Well we finally got there.. On the second week of the hols we went up to Dingo Beach for a few days.. We stayed at Dad's in Mackay on Monday night And had dinner with My Brother and his family.. picked up Sarah (my Niece) on Tuesday to take her up with us..

We got there and unpacked.. and Greg took the kids down to the Beach.. The tv wasn't working so I had to stay home and wait for someone to come check it.. What a shame.. they couldn't get it working.. lol..lucky the DVD worked so at least we could watch a movie..

The boys were very impressed.. As it was low tide they got to see starfish and other marine creatures.. I am so sorry I missed out..

On Wednesday Greg and Poppy packed up all the kids.. unfortunately the boat only held 6...lol.. So I got to stay home and relax and do some beading.. Thank God I did because the boat wouldn't start out in the middle of the ocean.. lol.. Luckily they were in Mobile rang so managed to ring and get someone tow them.. of course once they started towing them.. it started.. lol.. So after about 5 hours in the boat they did about 15 mins fishing.. The kids had a ball.. but Poppy and Greg were not too impressed..

On Thursday we went down to the beach again.. it is really lovely there.. lots of shells and hardly any people.. The kids had a great time swimming and looking for starfish etc..

After the kids were beached out.. we took them up to the park.

That afternoon Poppy and Greg went out for a spot of fishing on their own.. no problems this time .. and Poppy won't let Greg forget he caught the only legal fish..lol..

Meanwhile the kids and I played Uno.. Connor picked it up really quickly and had a great time wanting to play all afternoon..

Every night Sarah and I stayed up after the boys were in bed and I taught her how to do some beading.. It was really nice to spend some time with her.. Unfortunately I don;t get enough time with my gorgeous nieces..

Thursday night we had a BBQ with some of Dad's friends up there.. it was lovely to meet some of the people that are so important to him..

Friday was a very looong day.. we packed up the car and were on the road by 8.30. Got to Mackay and unloaded Dad then went into town to drop off Sarah.. The boys all got their Birthday presents from Shane, Sue and the girls.. they were very impressed.

We didn't get home then until nearly 5.. ad we were all exhausted.. especially as the portable dvd decided to pack it in on the way up.. 3 tired and grumpy kids in the car without a movie to distract them is hell!!.. I so wish my boys would sleep in the car!!

Finally an update..

Hi everyone.. well as usual.. It has been too long since I have updated.. and of course heaps has been happening.. so I have decided to do it in a couple of posts so I don't confuse myself.. lol.. Not hard these day!..

On the 27th.. we were lucky enough to catch up with the Kevin, Carol, David and Helen.. They are friends of Greg's family and have known him since he was about Brodie's age.. These days they spend all their spare time travelling around in caravans.. and they had a big caravan gathering in Rocky so we went to say g'day..

Of course Brodie did his usual trick and decided there was not gonna be a good photo taken..lol..

That night we had arranged with Rach, Adrian, Zoe and Joe to go camping.. in our back yard..lol.. We are planning to go away camping soon so decided we'd better check out the equipment and make sure all was ok.. The boys loved it.. an Zoe and I had a marvellous night sleep in my bed..lol.. I'm not silly enough to sleep on our rocky ground when my comfy bed is only 50 mtrs away..pmsl.. Adrian and Greg had a great time playing primitive man and setting up the camp.. Adrian also turned into a fire bug.. eventually putting that huge a log on it I reckon it would've burnt for a week..lol.. We had a yummy dinner of roasts and silverside done in camp ovens.. and a few quiet drinkies around the fire.. Some a little more than others.. no names mentioned..lol..
God knows why but Joe got up and went surfing the next morning at 4 (crazy!!) and as Zoe and I both caught a flu that night we didn't get out of bed until about 2.. The funniest thing the next morning was that (even though I don't snore) pmsl.. I must've been making some noise at one point while I was napping.. and little Ella was sitting on her Mum's lap growling at me.. I soo wish I had that on video..lol.. Anyway some pics ..
